The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, on behalf of Headquarters, Joint Munitions Command, is seeking information from capable sources for two stormwater detention pond projects at Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) in Hawthorne, Nevada. The first project involves the clean-up and rehabilitation of stormwater dry detention ponds at the New Bomb open burn/open detonation demilitarization site. This includes clearing material from the ponds following a flood event, with consideration for potential unexploded ordnance during silt removal in ponds and spillways. The second project requires the design and construction of stormwater controls that can withstand a 500-year flood event and contain a 100-year event. The design phase of project two is intended to run concurrently with project one, while the construction phase will begin immediately after to minimize equipment and material movement. Storage for transient materials and aggregate is available on-site for reuse. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
