Request for Bids - Shokan Wastewater Management Program Shakan Sewer District Wastewater Collection and Treatment System Contracts 1 thru 6 Contract No. 3 - WWTP General Construction:Work of Contracts No. 3 - 6 includes all tools, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct a new wastewater treatment plant consisting of headworks with manual bar-screen, mechanical bar screen, grit separation equipment, Parshall flume and 2mm fine screen. Downstream components include flow equalization tankage and pumps, an anoxic tank, aeration tank and membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment units with permeate pumps. The treatment system shall also include positive displacement blowers, fine bubble aeration with dissolved oxygen control system, chemical feed system, sludge pumps and controls, membrane backwash system, ultraviolet disinfection, and post-aerabon. Other plant components include aerobic digesters with aeration blowers and coarse air diffusers, sludge pumps, a screw-type dewatering press with sludge conditioning system, a non-potable water system, lab, office, bathroom and controls facilities, miscellaneous sitework, landscaping, and an on-site potable water well. All treatment process components to be housed in a preengineering steel building with interior masonry walls, metal doors, composite windows, and all necessary swivel decanters, and appurtenances for complete installation. The work of Contract 3 may also include Deduct Alternate 3.1 for Cost Reduction for Substitute Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) equipment. The work also requires coordination with other concurrent contracts for the overall project.
