Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is Requesting Sealed Bids From Qualified Aquatic Construction Companies for Replastering of Pool Tank. The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District Reserves the Right to Reject Any Bid Not in Compliance With This Request for Bid or in Compliance With All Prescribed Public Contracting Procedures and Requirements, and May Reject for Good Cause, Any or All Bids Upon a Finding That It is in the Public Interest to Do So, and to Waive Any and All Information in the Best Interest of the District. Somerset West Swim Center is a 75'x30' 97,000 pool that is 3' to 10' in depth. The pool tank plaster has reached its end of life and needs to be replaced using Hydrazzo Gulf Stream Blue polished finish, along with replacement of four (4) underwater light niches and fixtures with Pentair stainless steel niches and Pentair Intellibrite Architectural Series White LED 120v 500w underwater lights. This work is expected to take place March-May 2026 while the facility is closed for the season. Scope includes: 1. Remove and dispose of existing pool plaster to 1/4 inch of shotcrete pool tank, cutting around existing transition, racing strip and waterline tile. Building, pool deck, parking lot, and surroundings must be protected from debris. Note current plaster thickness is 3/4 to 1 inch. 2. Remove and dispose of current underwater pool lights and niches. Pool tank must be protected from any unnecessary pool tank shell removal. 3. Installation of new stainless underwater light niches to be secure into pool tank walls and watertight connections into existing conduit. 4. All damaged tile damaged during demo to be replaced at contractors' expense 5. Preparation of pool tank surface in accordance with the Hydrazzo application sheet. 6. Application of Hydrazzo Gulf Steam Blue in accordance with the Hydrazzo application sheet. Apply smooth trowel finish without waves, cracks, trowel marks, ridges, pits, crazing, discoloration, projections, or other imperfections. Form plaster carefully around curves and angles, well up to screeds. Take special care to prevent sagging and consequent drooping of applications. Produce surfaces free of visible junction marks in the finish coat where one day's work adjoins another. Finish proprietary plaster as required by the manufacturer. 7. Polish new pool tank in accordance with the Hydrazzo application sheet. 8. Installation of new Pentair Intellibrite Architectural Series White LED 120v 500w underwater pool light. 9. Installation of new hydrostatic valves 10.Installation of new VGB code compliant drain grates 11.Installation of new wall return eyelet covers 12.Provide Jacks Magic Blue Stuff for 97,000-gallon treatment 13.Pool filling and start of to be done by Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District 14.Provide Owner with 1 year workmanship warranty and 5-year material warranty Project Location Somerset West Swim Center 18300 NW Park View Blvd Portland, OR 97229
