The County Board Reserves the Right to Waive Technicalities and to Reject Any or All Bids. The Contract Period Shall Be Two Years Beginning on November 1, 2025 and Ending on October 31, 2027. A Certificate of Insurance With $1,000,000 General Liability Limits Shall Be Required With Webster County, Iowa Named as an Additional Insured Party. Description of Proposed Work: Snow and Sleet Shall Be Removed From the Parking Lots by 7:00 a.m. On All Days With One Inch Deep or More Accumulation. During Daytime Hours, Snow and Sleet Shall Be Removed From the Driving Lanes, Entrances, and Sidewalks When Two or More (or as Requested) Inches of Snow or Sleet Have Been Accumulated, With the Remainder to Be Removed When the Parking Lots Have Cleared. Snow and Sleet Shall Be Removed From the Sidewalks to Provide Safe Passage During Business Hours (7:00 a.m.-5:00 P.m.). Sand Shall Be Applied to the Sidewalks and Parking Lot After Each Snowfall. When Ice Has Accumulated on the Sidewalks or Parking Lot, Salt Shall Be Applied at a Rate Sufficient to Melt Accumulated Ice in Order to Provide Safe Usage. Salt Shall Be Granular Type Material Composed of Calcium Chloride and/or Potassium Chloride. The Contractor Shall Be Responsible to Load, Transport and Properly Dispose of Snow Piles in a Timely Manner. The Contractor Shall Be Responsible for Repairs and/or Replacement of All Sod, Shrubs, Curbing, Fixtures or Any Other Item That is Damaged by Snow Removal Operations. This Work Shall Be Completed by May 15 of the Following Year.
