CONSTRUCTION INVITATION TO BID DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS AND GENERAL SERVICES STATE OF VERMONT Contractors are invited to bid on the Coolidge Historical Site Renovations for Buildings and General Services at 3780 Route 100A in Plymouth, Vermont. This project consists of, but is not limited to: The Coolidge Historic Site Renovations project includes structural repairs to the foundation, site, and chimney at the Calvin Coolidge Historic Site Homestead Building in Plymouth, Vermont (3780 Route 100A and adjacent Messer Road and Coolidge Memorial Road sites). 1. Partial historic field stone foundation shoring, repairs, and reconstruction. Associated sitework is required for durability and drainage improvements including storm and footing drains. 2. Construct a ramped accessible visitor path through the wood shed and demolish the existing bridge and steps. The improvements require structural wall and floor openings and reconfigure existing finishes. Replace the visitor path flooring throughout the Homestead. 3. Reconstruct and repoint two brick chimneys above the roof. 4. Stone pathway and parking improvements. 5. Sitework involving raising storm drains at asphalt paved drives. QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD: Any vendor requiring clarification of any section of this RFP or wishing to comment or take exception to any requirements of the RFP must submit specific questions in writing to BGS.OPCVendorDocs@vermont.gov no later than 4:30 PM on October 10, 2025. All questions should include Coolidge Historical Site Renovations Project in the subject line. Any comments, questions, or exceptions not raised in writing on or before the last day of the question period are waived. To secure a project that is deemed to be in the best interest of the State, the State reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, with or without cause, and to waive technicalities in submissions.
