Sealed bids must be plainly marked with: Sealed Bid- RESURFACING OF HINCKLEY/SOUTHSIDE ROAD CR 151 Contractors must obtain Contract Documents from the issuing office to be placed on the Official Plan Holder List in order to receive Addenda and any other bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors not on the Official Plan Holders List will not be accepted. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid. The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish performance, payment, and guarantee bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The Right is Reserved to Reject Any and All Bids for the Herkimer County Department of Highways in the town of Russia, County of Herkimer, State of New York, and to furnish the prescribed Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bond for not less than the total bid price, and to furnish the required evidence of the specified insurance. The undersigned hereby proposes and agrees to furnish for the respective item prices bid, all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools and services and to perform all the work necessary to complete the RESURFACING OF HINCKLEY/SOUTHSIDE ROAD CR 151, in the town of Russia, in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Document, and to accept in full compensation thereof, the amount of the summation of the products of the actual quantities incorporated in the work multiplied by the unit prices bid The Contractor shall substantially complete the work under the Contract within the specified time. (See item #14 - Information to Bidders). Substantial items shall include, culverts and drainage, recycling, paving, guiderail, shoulder backup, driveways and pavement striping.
