Trash Trap Disposal Services at Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) The Scope of Work includes retrieval and disposal of trash from combined sewer overflow (CSO) outfall locations and additional related services, as described in greater detail below. Contractor shall provide full service maintenance for the TrashTrap system (currently provided by StormTrap) installed in the water at the MWS Kerrigan Regulator Outfall, and on land at the Schrader Lane Outfall and at Davidson Street near the Benedict and Crutcher Outfall. The locations of these trash traps are listed below. The (river) marine trash trap at the Kerrigan Regulator Outfall is located in the Cumberland River, southeast of the Jefferson Street Bridge near the Riverfront Condos on 1st Avenue North (nearest cross street is Stockyard Street). The only access to the trash trap itself is from the Cumberland River via boat. MWS will not provide boat. The Schrader Lane trash trap is located at the Schrader Lane CSO outfall near the intersection of Ed Temple Boulevard and Dr. Walter S. Davis Boulevard. The Davidson Street trash trap is located in the roadway on Davidson Street near PSC Metals between the Benedict and Crutcher CSO regulator and the outfall. This maintenance includes retrieval and transport of solid waste in bags from the trash collection system at the outfalls, supply and installation of replacement bags, inspection of the assembly for damage, and minor repairs. Bags can weigh in excess of 300 pounds each when full. For additional information on the Trash Trap system, visit www.stormtrap.com. Maintenance frequency is to occur approximately monthly, with an expected minimum of ten annual cleanings. Metro reserves the right to make multiple awards for a contract if it is deemed in the best interest of Metro.
