Renovation of a religious / funeral development in Natuashish, Newfoundland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a religious / funeral development.
Closing Time: 4:30 PM (NT) ** Please note that there has been 3 addendum issued for this project. ** Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/10/15 12:30:00 PM NDT Construction Renovations and Upgrades at the Mushuau Innu First Nation Church Located in Natuashish, Newfoundland and Labrador. .1 Work of this Contract comprises general construction renovation of the Tshukuminu St.Ann's Church, located at 1 Pasteen St, Natuashish, NL; and further identified as MIFN Church. The interior work is to be ongoing throughout the fall and winter. Exterior work to take place in spring and summer 2026 with project substantial completion August 15 2026. The projects' overall goal is to renovate and repair the 550 m2 church. This work includes: Demolition (Level 1): a. Remove all existing windows including, window treatment (blinds, etc.), window boxes, ledges, and trim. b. Remove existing washroom fixtures, vanity, mirror, and washroom accessories. c. Remove existing floor finishes and base trims throughout building down to sub floor or conc. d. Remove all existing rubber stair treads/risers and railing. e. Remove all existing interior, c/w hardware, trims, jambs, boxes etc. f. Remove existing fuel oil tank, stand, lines in its entirety. g. Remove all existing chimneys, pipe, flues, caps, guys associated with wood and oil heating sources. h. Remove all existing interior lighting fixtures, receptacles, switches, cover plates, main level. (Boxes to remain). i. Remove all millwork, cabinets, counters, appliances, fixtures etc. in existing kitchens and washrooms. j. Remove all drop ceiling grid and tile. k. Temporarily remove/relocate and or store all furnishings, pews, alters, equipment etc. to allow completion of new work. I. Remove existing hrv unit c/w associated duct, fittings, grills, diffusers. m. Remove all fire/life safety devices, fixtures, sensors etc. Demolition (Level 2): a. Remove all existing sealed window glazing units. b. Remove existing washroom fixtures, vanity, mirror, and washroom accessories, speedways etc. c. Remove existing floor finishes and base trims throughout building down to sub floor or conc. d. Remove all existing rubber stair treads/risers and railing. e. Remove all existing interior doors, c/w hardware, trims, jambs, boxes etc. f. Remove all existing chimneys, pipe, flues, caps, guys associated with wood and oil heating sources. g. Remove all existing interior lighting fixtures, receptacles, switches, cover plates, throughout second level. (Boxes to remain). h. Remove all millwork, cabinets, counters, appliances, fixtures etc. in existing kitchens. i. Remove all drop ceiling grid and tile. J. Temporarily remove/relocate and or store all furnishings, equipment etc. to allow completion of new work. k. Remove existing washer/dryer. 1. Remove existing hrv unit c/w associated duct, fittings, grills, diffusers. m. Remove all fire/life safety devices, fixtures, sensors etc. Demolition (Exterior): a. Remove all existing sealed window glazing units. b. Remove existing floor finishes and base trims throughout building down to sub floor or conc. c. Remove all existing chimneys, pipe, flues, caps, guys associated with wood and oil heating sources. d. Remove existing metal fascia at roofs, eaves, throughout. e. Remove existing roofing shingles, and related roofing materials down to existing roof sheathing. f. Remove all existing exterior lighting fixtures, receptacles, switches, cover plates. g. Remove existing exterior concrete pads, landings at all exit locations. h. Remove organic materials min. 1.0m from perimeter of building, ie. grass, sod, rocks, etc. i. Remove all existing exterior hoods, vents, grills, exposed cables. j. Remove existing siding material 305mm up wall face for installation of new flashing and waterproofing at wall/roof intersection. k. Remove cracked or rotten wood siding or trims, assume min. 30m of trims and 10sq/m of siding. Renovation (Level 1): a. Install new laminate flooring with required accessories, transitions, adhesives, and levelers as required to perform the work. b. Install new windows, window boxes, ledges, trim, and treatments (blinds, etc.). c. Install new washroom fixtures including toilet, basin, vanity, tub/shower, and washroom accessories. d. Install new top and bottom kitchen cabinets, countertops, sinks, trims, and hardware in existing kitchen. e. Install new appliances. f. Install new wood baseboards and door/window casings. g. Install new interior doors with jambs, boxes, facings, hinges, locksets, passage sets, closures, stops, auto openers, etc. h. Install new stair handrail, rubber stair treads & risers.
