City Hall Exterior Door Replacement Contractor Qualification. Question Deadline 10/07/2025 All written inquiries must be submitted via electronic mail (email) only, If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Chelsea City Solicitor at 617-466-4150 as soon as possible Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Site Visit City Hall is open 8am-4pm, Mon, Wed, & Thurs, 8am - 7pm on Tues, and 8am-12pm on Fri. The door locations can be visited at any time during City Hall open hours. SCOPE OF WORK Remove the existing doors at 5 entrances to City Hall (labeled Doors 2-6 in the attached drawings. Door 1 has recently been replaced and is removed from the scope). At each location, furnish & install new dark bronze aluminum, wide style, doors framed to match existing opening. Double doors except where noted. Exterior pull handle, interior push bar. Work includes new surface mounted closers, 7 threshold, door sweep, full mortise continuous strip hinge, MS lock, flush bolts. Door 3: reset diamond plate as necessary to ensure smooth operation of doors Door 2: single door Door heights vary 6-8 to 8-0, contractor to verify in field Door widths vary 3-2 to 6-0, contractor to verify in field Contractor to coordinate with city vendor to disconnect and reconnect keyless entry, alarm, and hold open buttons. Exclusions: graphic applications on glass panes
