Clearance and Hazardous Branch Pruning of City Owned Trees Within the Tree Border and Boulevards Located at: Various locations throughout the City of Milwaukee in the public right of way. Time for Completion: The term of this contract shall be through April 30th, 2026, with three (3) oneyear extensions permitted by mutual agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the CONTRACTOR. The term of each extension shall last one full calendar year, from May 1st through April 30th the following year. Work primarily will be performed in late fall through early spring, approximately October 1st through April 30th. Liquidated Damages, see Section 13.0 in the scope of work for CLEARANCE AND HAZARDOUS BRANCH PRUNING OF CITY OWNED TREES WITHIN THE TREE BORDER AND BOULEVARDS Standards and Bid Specifications. The residency requirement for this project is 0% of all hours worked on the project. The SBE requirement for this project is 15% of the contract base bid. The SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) must be submitted with the bid and is an element of bid responsiveness. SBE certificates must be submitted with the Form A. Incomplete SBE Compliance Plans (Form A) or inaccurate SBE Compliance Plans will not be accepted and will render the bid unresponsive. Apprenticeship requirements: The contractor must employ one arborist apprentice. For information about the Arborist Apprenticeship program or how to incorporate an apprenticeship program with your company, please contact online. The contractor shall specifically note the SBE, residency, and apprenticeship forms for this project. If the forms are not filled out properly, it will be cause for rejection of the bid. Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: $500. For those bids being submitted through online and using a manual Bond, the contractor may send a signed/executed copy of the bid bond to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by emailing DPWbids@milwaukee.gov. THE EMAILED COPY OF THE BOND MUST BE RECEIVED BY NO LATER THAN 10:30 A.M. ON THE SAME DATE THAT THE BIDS ARE DUE FOR THAT SPECIFIC OFFICIAL NOTICE, or the bid will be considered non-responsive. The original bid bond document must then be submitted by the contractor to the Department of Public Works Contract Office in-person or by mail to 841 N Broadway, Rm. 506, Milwaukee, WI 53202, within 24 hours upon being notified that they are the apparent low bidder.
