Renovation of an educational facility in Manassas, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 39,700-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
The project is generally described as the removal of the existing EPDM roofing system and skylights, and the installation of a new modified bitumen roofing system. Replacement of selective roof top units (RTUs) will occur under a separate contract. Bidders must be registered in eVA. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid is permitted as specified in the Instructions to Bidders and Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis for the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid modifications. Contractor registration is required in accordance with Virginia Code. Drawings and specifications necessary for bidding may be obtained through eVA or by contacting Northern Virginia Community College, referencing the project code number. Project will be separated into 1 phase: Phase 1 is demolition of existing roof and accessories, and installation of a New Roofing system and accessories
