Renovation of a municipal facility in Milford, Michigan. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

**As of October 16, 2025 no bids were received for this project.** Reference Number 0000399733 The Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority (HCMA) is soliciting bids for Farm Office Building Repairs. On August 16, 2025 a large tree fell through the farm office building causing extensive damage. The tree fell through the center of the building in the main breakroom area. The tree was removed with a crane and the building has been temporarily tarped. However, a rain event occurred before the roof covering could be put in place and some water has entered the building. A structural report was prepared by the Metroparks insurance carrier and is included in the contract documents. Also included are the original drawings and building specifications. The documents are the best-known information as to the buildings construction and are for informational purposes only as there may have been some changes during the original construction that may not be indicated in the original documents. All work and components shall meet or exceed the original contract specifications. The target to complete the work would be to repair the roof structure before the onset of winter and complete all interior work by April 1, 2026, or sooner. The Metroparks is looking for qualified contractors to facilitate the repair of the building. The building is currently closed to all public and employees. Bids shall be submitted on the form included in the bidding documents, and shall be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond underwritten by a surety licensed in the State of Michigan, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract. After the time of opening, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities and to make award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the Authority. Mr. Andrew J. Vane, PE, MBA, of YAES visited the Kensington Metropark Farm Center on August 22, 2025, to document the condition of the building. Mr. Mike Henkel (Chief of Engineering Services), Mr. Mike Lyons (Chief Operating Officer), and Mr. Joe Fulton (Park Operations Manager), all with Huron-Clinton Metroparks, were present at the beginning of the site visit and answered a number of general questions. Mr. Zachary Reetz, AIC, Regional General Adjuster with Sedgwick, was also present during the site visit.
