Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The project involves the removal and installation of a pedestrian bridge. Bids must be submitted via PennBid at pennbid.net. Bids must be on forms included in the bidding documents and be accompanied by Bid Security, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Owner's Certification of Responsible Contractor Status Form as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must comply with all requirements set forth in the bidding documents, including adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Law as amended. All proposals are valid for at least sixty days; if delays occur due to required approvals or grant awards, the period extends to one hundred twenty days. The owner supports local, diverse, and disadvantaged businesses, and reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof and to waive informalities or technicalities as deemed necessary. The replacement will be an in-kind bridge, utilizing the existing abutments and anchor bolts, with a new prefabricated bridge structure.
