Reference Number 0000403481 Colorado Mesa University is a public institution in Grand Junction, Colorado serving nearly 11,000 students. Over 800 of these students are NCAA Division II student-athletes competing in 26 different sports, including Football. Currently, the CMU varsity football team plays all home games at the City of Grand Junction's Stocker Stadium in the Lincoln Park Stadium Complex. The State of Colorado, Colorado Mesa University (CMU), is soliciting proposals from qualified CMGC contractors for the Athletic Complex project. This project proposes construction of a two-story Athletic Complex complete with a locker room equipped with 126 lockers, restroom, showers, sports medicine and separate exam rooms, multiple break out rooms separate team meeting rooms, coaches offices and separate locker room, separate officials locker room and restroom, all on the first floor, with a panoramic viewing platform complete with pre function space, a catering kitchen, public restroom and exterior seating on the second floor. The project site is located at the South end of Stocker Stadium. The new structure will replace an existing building on the site. The new Athletic Complex will be finished as the City of Grand Junction proceeds with plans to improve the main south entrance into the stadium. These upgrades are designed to enhance safety and circulation, and will include a new ticket booth, an attached gift shop, and an updated open-air entrance area. The successful Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) for the complex may also be asked to handle these entrance improvements as a separate bid package. The Fixed Limit of Construction Cost for the project is $7,000,000.00. The successful company hired to construct this exciting new project shall be prepared to begin work the first full week of January, with foundations and site work bid package ready for bidding and construction on or before May 1, 2026. Final completion of the project will be on or before July 1, 2027. The final design and construction schedule for the project will be developed with the AE team, CM/GC and Colorado Mesa University.
