Reference Number 0000399888 The University of Colorado Boulder is soliciting proposals from qualified Design/Build Entities for the UCB001402-MULTI-Campus Security Project. The Design/Build team must have the necessary licenses to design, construct, and implement the system. It is anticipated that the team will need to be comprised of an architect, electrical engineer, general contractor, electrical contractor, and security integrator (CU provided). The responding team should partner and prime in ways that provide the best value to the owner. The project will consist of multiple phases issued in separate bid packages and designs that will implement security cameras and access control solutions. The University of Colorado may also implement additional security means and measures with this team as they are identified and included during the design and implementation phases of this multi-year and multi-phase project. The university has initial funding identified for approximately 150 new external security cameras. The University of Colorado Boulder may elect to make multiple awards over multiple years to support its security implementation needs across the campus environment. The University of Colorado Boulder will issue a separate solicitation to engage a Security Systems Integrator. The University of Colorado Boulder intends to issue a separate Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Security System Integrator. This RFP will establish a Master Services Agreement that encompasses installation and maintenance services, as well as the provision of security system equipment and devices, all under a unified Master Agreement. The successful Design-Build team will partner with this vendor as the team's security integrator. It is anticipated that the campus security integrator will provide design input, security system equipment and components, security component connection to infrastructure provided by the Design/Build team, and programming services. Security System Integrators may respond to both RFPs if they can meet the requirements for each RFP. Security Integrators that wish to partner with or lead a Design-Build entity must provide experience and be a certified security integrator for the systems listed in section III.6 and section IV.1 below to be considered for this solicitation.
