Renovation of an educational facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Sealed bids are requested for Elevator Modernization at Tulsa Community College Metro campus. The project comprises all materials and labor necessary for the renovation. Bidders are expected to carefully examine the site and proposal documents to fully understand the conditions and the character of the work. A cashier's check, certified check, or surety bond for five percent of the bid must accompany each sealed proposal. Checks or surety bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Completion time, qualifications, and available funding will be considered in awarding the contract. The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. Notice is hereby given that Tulsa Community College (TCC) is requesting a sealed response to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for TCC Metro Campus Elevator Modernization as per the attached Specifications and General Terms and Conditions. Please see project manuals developed by TCC for project details. Please note that specific components, such as brand name, are listed in the scope of this project. This is to ensure consistency with existing infrastructure. Respondents are encouraged to submit questions/requests for clarification ifthey feel the scope/specifications are too restrictive. Alternatives will be considered as long as they are submitted in writing via Bid Express. Contractor will haul away our debris and leave the area clean. Elevator Machine Room 1. Contractor will install a new door frame, door, and hardware. 2. Contractor will patch machine room walls and ceiling. 3. Contractor will provide and install (1) one new 480v 60amp shunt trip disconnect with aux. contacts, fused at 50amps. 4. Contractor will provide and install (1) one new 20amp disconnect cab light disconnect. 5. Contractor will provide and install conduit and wire from disconnects to controllers. 6. Contractor will provide and install (2) two led fixtures in the equipment room. 7. Contractor will provide and install an illuminated switch in the equipment room. 8. Contractor will provide and replace existing receptacle with GFCI receptacle. 9. Contractor will provide and install conduit only for open phone line. 10. Contractor will provide and install conduit only for fire alarm devices. Elevator Hoistways 1. Contractor will fire caulk back boxes of hall fixtures to maintain hoistway fire rating. Elevator Lobbies 1. Contractor will provide cut and patch for the call stations. Elevator Pits 1. Contractor will install new vapor tight LED lights in each elevator pit to meet code. 2. Contractor will install an illuminated light switch. 3. Contractor will install a new GFCI receptacle in each elevator pit. 4. Contractor will install a simplex receptacle for the sump pump. 5. Contractor will install a new sump pump. 6. Contractor will install a new audible oil minder. 7. Contractor will install copper evacuation pipe. 8. Contractor will replace the plastic sump cover with a steel cover. Fire Alarm 1. Contractor will disconnect/reconnect elevator recall devices. 2. Contractor will relocate four relays in the elevator equipment room. 3. Contractor will inspect and test work Description of Work o New Imperial 527 gearless machines with dual independent brakes with upstands and deflector sheaves in machine room o New hoist cables o New C4 SmartRise controllers o New wiring throughout the elevator system o New Surface mount lobby fixtures and lobby panel manufactured by Innovation Industries o New main and auxiliary applied car operating panels manufactured by Innovation Industries o New L&L door operators o Replace hoistway door components as needed o New Car and CWT rollers guides manufactured by Elsco o New cartop handrail o New cartop escape hatch switch o New cartop inspection station o New cab fan o New governor, governor cable and tail sheave o Clean and inspect car and cwt comp sheaves for improper wear. If they show signs of improper wear and bearing failure contractor is to provide pricing for removal and taken to a machine shop for new bearings and machine work on the shaft. A change order will be issued for this work. o Paint the buffers, machine room floor and the pit floor o New cab interiors and drop ceiling o Contractor is to provide an Alternate for new car and hoistway door The following items will be completed by third party labor or suppliers through the coordination of the Contractor: General o Contractor will obtain permits for the scope of work listed in this proposal as required by AHJ. o Contractor will provide onsite supervision as required to complete our listed scope of work. o Contractor will provide submittals for any items required in the specifications. o Contractor will haul away our debris and leave the area clean. o Phone lines for the elevators must be ran in conduit o The windows in the machine room will have to be removed and filled with block or covered and fire rated. One of the windows will need to be removed so the new machines can be installed in the machine room o New machine room lighting o GFCI outlets in machine room o Illuminated machine room light switch o New 3 phase shunt trip disconnects lockable in the off position only o New 110 lighting disconnects fusible and lockable in the off position only o Self closing and locking machine room door o HVAC/Ventilation to keep the machine room at 65 to 95 degrees o Hoistway lighting to meet 2022 code requirements o Pit lighting to meet 2022 code requirements o GFCI outlets in pit o Illuminated light switch in pit o Programming for FAID's
