The project is expected to be awarded on October 16th, 2025.** The project consists of roadway rehabilitation, drainage improvements, replacement, and installation of curb and sidewalk for various roads within the Borough. All work on this contract must be completed within 90 calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, and be addressed to the Borough of Oceanport. Proposals must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Owner, and either a bid bond or a certified check drawn to the order of Borough of Oceanport for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. A performance bond, labor, and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. Proposals will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. All Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the Mayor and Council, Borough of Oceanport, marked conspicuously on its face on the top right-hand side with "Public Bid," followed by "2025 Road Program" and "To be received on Thursday October 9, 2025 at 11:00 am". The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner. The successful bidder shall comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including affirmative action requirements and public disclosure provisions.
