Work consists of gutter replacement with leaf guards at scattered site properties. Bids must be based on bid documents obtained from the website of 1919 Architects, P.C. Hard copies may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $50 per set and bidders are limited to three sets. Checks should be made payable to 1919 Architects, P.C. If bid packets need to be shipped, a separate non-refundable check for $25 or a valid UPS or FedEx account number must be provided. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and clearly marked "McAlester Housing Authority Capital Funds 2024." A Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid must be submitted with each bid. Failure to submit an acceptable bid bond will result in rejection of the bid. Attention is called to provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set in the bid documents. All contractors awarded construction-related contracts must document Affirmative Action for Equal Opportunity in Employment, which is subject to review by the Department of Labor. Minority, Disadvantaged, and Women-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn for 90 calendar days after the opening of bids without written consent from the Authority.
