Description

Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Murray, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The City of Murray seeks a qualified engineering firm to prepare all necessary documents and facilitate the design and construction of a Comprehensive Neighborhood Revitalization Grant (Cnrg) project, funded in part by a federal Community Development Block Grant (Cdbg). The scope of work includes the final design phase and providing bid-letting and construction services for park improvements and a community trail project that are part of the Cnrg Grant. Submittal requirements include providing six bound hard copies and one electronic copy (PDF) of the proposal. Proposals will be evaluated based on general qualifications, design philosophy, relevant experience with Cnrg/Cdbg and park/trail projects, current workload, and understanding of project expectations. All work is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, which aims to ensure that employment and economic opportunities generated by HUD assistance are directed to low- and very low-income persons, particularly HUD housing assistance recipients. Contractors must comply with HUD's Section 3 regulations and include corresponding language in all subcontracts. Section 3 businesses are encouraged to respond.
