Renovation of a residential development in Corrigan, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
the Corrigan Housing Authority for a comprehensive electrical rehabilitation project consisting of the removal and replacement of existing wiring, devices, panels/breaker boxes, breakers, and related components in 122 occupied public housing apartments, including all labor, materials, permits, inspections, tenant safety, and daily cleanup. All interested bidders must obtain an official packet directly from the Housing Authority, either in person or electronically, and be listed on the official plan holders list to be eligible to submit a bid. HUD procurement requirements apply. Applicable federal and state requirements include, but are not limited to: Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates; Section 3 (24 CFR Part 75), E-Verify, OSHA compliance, and insurance/bonding as specified in the IFB. Contractors must be licensed electrician in Texas and provide license and verifiable liability insurance of at least $2,000,000. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: o Contractors must submit at least three verifiable references for projects of similar size and scope. Failure to provide the required references may render the bid non-responsive. o Contractors must attend weekly progress meetings with the Director, staff, and workers. o Contractors must submit daily progress reports and allow staff to check work multiple times daily. o Contractors must complete all HUD-required paperwork, including employee salary lists, certified payroll, Section 3 documentation, and conflict-of-interest certifications. Contractor will be required to furnish window air conditioners and generators to use while working in the apartments. o Contractors must coordinate carefully and maintain strict safety standards as this project involves work in occupied units. o Historically Underutilized Businesses, Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises, and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to participate. HUB applicants will receive priority consideration, consistent with procurement law. o Failure to comply with any of these requirements may result in rejection of the bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid that is in the best interest of the authority.
