Remodeling of a multi-residential development in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade multi-residential development.
The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles invites contractors to submit firm fixed-price sealed bids for as-needed Bathtub, Sink, Countertop, and Backsplash Refinishing and Repair Services. The scope of work includes providing these services on an as-needed basis. Contractors must access the bid package, including plans and specifications, from the Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMP) at www.rampla.org. Registration on RAMP is required to receive notifications about any addenda. Sealed bids must be submitted to the central business office at 2600 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. General Requirements 1. The Contractor shall have a valid C-61 Specialty with D-12 Synthetic Products Contractor license and in good standing from the State of California's Contractor Licensing Board at the time of bid submission and through the end of the contract term. Contractor shall also comply with all applicable federal,state and local laws,rules,regulations, ordinances and codes and obtain any licenses or permits required to provide the services under this QSP. 2. All services and goods provided shall be covered by the most favorable commercial warranties given to any customer for same or similarsupplies or services, but such goods and services shall be warranted for at least a period of two (2) years. 3. All works shall be performed in accordance with acceptable industry standards. All finished products must be free from bubbles, bumps, pitting, peeling, chipping, sharp edges and smears. 4. Upon receipt of a service request, the Contractor shall provide HACLA's authorized representative with a written quote that describes the work to be performed and the estimated cost of the work. The Contractor shall not proceed with work prior to receiving a Purchase Order and to scheduling the work with HACLA's authorized representative. 5. All trash and debris must be removed from the work site at end the work dayGeneral Requirements 1. For bathtubs and kitchen sinks that have been previously re-glazed and are now peeling, surfaces shall be scraped, removed, and clean before re-glazing. d. Clean all dirt, grease, soap scum and other debris from bathtub and sink using trisodium phosphate. e. Sand bathtubs and kitchen sinks to promote better adhesion of the resurfacing chemicals. f. Repair any scratches, chips, burns, or dings. g. Protect faucets, drains and adjacent surfaces from damage, over spraying or staining. h. Resurface the bathtub following the materials manufacturer's instructions and recommendations for use of all chemicals. Product must be spray on type. Roll-on, brush-on, and aerosol can spray type will not be accepted. i. Finish with a coat of non-yellowing top coat. j. Caulk around the kitchen sink and all areas surrounding the bathtub where the bathtub connects to the wall surrounds. 2. Refinish kitchen or bathroom countertops: a. Clean the surface of any dirt, grease, or other debris using trisodium phosphate. Sand the surface for better adhesion; b. Refinish the countertop per the manufacturer's instructions and recommendations for use of all chemicals; and c. Finish with a coat of non-yellowing top coat. 3. Repair and Re-grout Bathtub Wall SurroundKitchen Countertops and/or Backsplashes: a. Clean the surface of any dirt, grease, or other debris using trisodium phosphate. Sand the surface for better adhesion. b.
