The Columbia River Bridge Replacement Project, located in Vancouver, Washington, and Portland, Oregon, is part of the IBR Program, which will complete new multi-modal Columbia River Bridges carrying I-5 over the Columbia River in the northbound and southbound directions, including SR 14 interchange ramp connections, Hayden Island interchange ramp connections, and existing bridge removal. This project will be in Clark County, WA and Multnomah County, OR. TIMELINE: As of October 5, 2026, the design-build team shortlisting and proposal process is underway. Selection of the progressive design-builder is expected by mid-2027, with major construction anticipated to begin in 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
