Renovation of a fire / police facility in Newark, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
A. In general, the Work consists of a single prime contract for the Licking County Justice Center Membrane Replacement as defined by the Drawings and Specifications. B. Contractor shall inspect all Drawings, Specifications, and the Site of the Work and satisfy himself as to the existing conditions under which he will be obliged to operate, or that will in any manner affect the work under this Contract. No allowance will be made subsequently in this connection in behalf of the Contractor for any error or negligence on his part. C. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, materials and equipment necessary for the complete and substantial execution of everything described, shown, or reasonably implied in the Drawings and Specifications as belonging to the work and included in the Contract. D. All the work under this Contract shall be done to the satisfaction of the Architect, who in all cases shall determine the quality, acceptability and fitness of the work. E. The Architect shall decide all questions which may arise as to measurements of quantities and the fulfillment of the conditions of this Contract. All questions regarding the Plans and Specifications should be addressed to the Wachtel & McAnally Architects bbender1@wachtelmcanally.com Brief Summary of Work- Bidder is to furnish all labor, supervision, materials and equipment to perform the work as follows but not limited to: Remove and dispose existing EPDM membrane, coping flashing, edge metal, caulking, and replace with new EPDM membrane, Vi cover board of existing insulation, coping, flashing, edge metal and caulking. Existing Building must remain operational. Bidder is to furnish all labor, supervision, materials and equipment to perform the work as follows but not limited to: Remove and dispose existing EPDM membrane, coping flashing, edge metal, caulking, and replace with new EPDM membrane, cover board of existing insulation, coping, flashing, edge metal and caulking. Existing Building must remain operational. A Bid Surety in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid or a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid. If the successful bidder submitted a Bid Surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, the bidder is required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the full contract amount. Bidders shall conform to State of Ohio, Prevailing Wage Laws. Bonds must identify the Licking County Commissioners as obligee. Failure to properly execute Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond may result in rejection of Bid. All Bids shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after the actual date of the Bid Opening. The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any or all irregularities, mistakes, omissions, informalities, and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law. The Commissioners reserve the right to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
