Lake Station Utility Building A Bid Bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each Bid. A one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond will also be required of the successful Bidder. The Work consists of, but is not necessarily limited to the following: Base Bid - Phase 1 1,740 linear feet of 36-inch thru 15-inch storm sewers, 835 linear feet of 18-inch and 8-inch sanitary sewer, 14 manholes, 8 inlets, outfall at Deep River, 360 linear feet of new curbs along intersection of Central Avenue and Union Street, pavement repair, clearing and associated site restoration. Mandatory Alternate Bid Phase 2 3,477 linear feet of 24-inch thru 12-inch storm sewers, 13 manholes, 35 inlets, 710 liner feet of reconstruction of 710 linear feet along Vermillion Street consisting of full street replacement, new sidewalks, drive approaches curbs and green space, reconstruction of 200 linear feet along Vanderburg Street consisting of full street replacement, new drive approaches and curbs, reconstruction of curbs, sidewalks and drive approaches along north side of Central Avenue, and associated site restoration. Reconstruction of 130 linear feet of Wayne Street consisting of full street replacement, new drive approaches, sidewalks and curbs. Contract Documents for the Project/Work have been assembled into one or more bound Project Manuals which, together with Drawings, may be examined at the Utility Building, 4325 Liverpool Road, Lake Station, Indiana 46405. Bidders shall assure that they have obtained complete sets of drawings and Contract Documents and shall assume the risk of any errors or omissions in Bids prepared in reliance on incomplete sets of drawings and Contract Documents. Provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and materials to perform all operations in connection with pumping of sewage and wet weather flows, if required, around the existing connection points. 2. Maintain sewage flow in the construction area in order to prevent backup or overflow into upstream pipe segments and laterals.
