The Work to be completed under this Project shall generally consist of the following improvements: . Approximately 53,400 linear feet of beach fill in Nags Head from beach stations 496+00 to 1030+00. Dredging by hopper or hydraulic pipeline dredge from offshore designated borrow areas, transport, placement and grading of a base quantity of approximately 2,236,000 cubic yards of beach quality fill material, the installation of 12,800 square yards of plants along the project area, and the installation of 14,740 linear feet of sand fencing along the project area. . Additional Additive items (two) include dredging by hopper or hydraulic pipeline dredge from offshore designated borrow areas, transport, placement and grading of an additional quantity of 100,000 cubic yards each of beach quality fill material along the project area. All Contractors submitting bids shall possess a valid North Carolina Contractors License and may be required to provide evidence satisfactory to the Town of Nags Head, in its sole judgment, of qualifications and experience sufficient for the successful accomplishment of a project of this nature and size within the time requirements set forth in the Contract Documents.
