Stark State College is accepting Statements of Qualifications from companies for the Design-Build lead for access control system upgrades for numerous existing doors at their main campus at 6200 Frank Avenue NW, North Canton, OH 44720, and at multiple satellite buildings. The total project budget is $700,000. Questions regarding the RFQ should be submitted in writing to Tim Ruzic at truzic@fmdarchitects.com, with the project name included in the subject line. Companies interested in submitting a Statement of Qualifications must provide one electronic copy (PDF) named with the project number and the company's name. The submission deadline is 2:00 PM on October 22, 2025, to be sent to Rich Rosenberger at RRosenberger@starkstate.edu. Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Tim Ruzic at truzic@fmdarchitects.com with the project name included in the subject line (no phone calls please). Questions will be answered and posted in an Addendum until one week prior to the response deadline. The project includes access control system upgrades to numerous existing doors throughout various Stark State College buildings. The goal is to provide access control to doors, so they can be programmed, controlled, and be easily locked for an overall upgrade to Stark State College’s safety and security. New devices, control panels, and associated hardware to properly connect and coordinate with the existing access control systems by matching existing manufacturers within the Stark State College buildings. (3) Panels are to also be updated to support XR to XR communication over their network. The following is a breakdown of doors in the project scope. Please note that the main campus location is in the base scope and the other locations are to receive separate pricing, which will be reviewed and approved by Stark State College.
