The City of Apalachicola is seeking proposals from qualified individuals, companies, or corporations to provide grounds maintenance for all city cemeteries. The contract involves providing quality lawn maintenance services for three cemeteries monthly from March 1 through October 31. Bidders must quote the price for monthly services per site. A monthly report, including the date and time of each cleaning, is required with each invoice. Maintenance should be performed once every two weeks and includes mowing all grass in designated areas, trimming around headstones, monuments, and fences, blowing off debris from headstones and monuments, picking up and disposing of all limbs and trash, and contacting the Public Works Director with completion dates for each cemetery. The cemeteries included are: • Snow Hill – Gibson/Bluff Rd • Chestnut Cemetery – 8th St/Hwy 98 • Magnolia Cemetery – 12th St. Bluff Road The selected contractor will be awarded a one-year contract, renewable at the City's discretion, and must maintain a valid City of Apalachicola business license for the contract period. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids in whole or in part, waive informalities in the process, obtain new bids, or postpone the opening. Bids may be submitted by email or in person.
