Snow removal services are required for the Warrenton Residency Lot, including entrances, roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks on an on-call, as-needed basis at 457 E. Shirley Avenue, Warrenton, VA 20186 for the Virginia Department of Transportation. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Rosalie Alther at Rosalie.Alther@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than five (5) calendar days prior to bid closing date. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From date of award through one year. (renewable) SCOPE: The Contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment, supervision, labor, transportation, tools, and incidentals as required to perform snow and ice removal services for parking lots, entrance roadways, sidewalks and walkways during winter storms events as stated herein for the VDOT. Snow shall be piled in such a way that snow does not fall back onto sidewalks, steps, roadways, parking lots. VDOT will direct the contractor on snow piling locations that are less obstructive for VDOT. See Attachment H for specific site maps identifying areas to be plowed, shoveled, treated and cleared.
