Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Newport, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
**As of December 23rd, 2025, the project was awarded to T & L Sheet Metal Inc, but the awarded amount is not available.** The City of Newport is requesting proposals from qualified roofing contractors for corrective work at the Newport Recreation Center roof. The project will focus on targeted repairs to address skylight and drainage issues in order to extend the service life of the existing standing seam aluminum roof system. ontractors Contractors shall inspect the roof and skylights during the required site visit and submit a proposal that includes the following: 4.1 Base Case Solution (Required) The base case solution must, at a minimum, stop the current roof leaks associated with skylights and the roof entrance hatch. o Re-flashing of leaking skylights (6 total) and the roof entrance hatch, integrated with the existing standing seam roof in accordance with manufacturer specifications. o Installation of drainage improvements above skylights (such as crickets or equivalent) to eliminate ponding and reduce future leakage risk. o All new flashing, panels, and accessory materials shall meet or exceed the material type, gauge/thickness, finish, and performance standards described in Attachment C (original manufacturer specifications) to ensure compatibility and durability with the existing system. o Materials and methods must be consistent with both industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
