Remodeling of a warehouse / distribution facility in Gainesville, Florida. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade warehouse / distribution facility.

Provide and install interior fencing at the Alachua County Facilities Management Warehouse, located at 6125 NW 18th Drive, Gainesville, FL 32653. The purpose of this project is to secure and separate designated storage areas for various County departments within the newly acquired building. Contractor is responsible for furnishing and installing all fencing, posts, rails, gates, and hardware as shown in the construction drawings and described in the technical specifications. All materials, dimensions, layouts, and installation methods must strictly follow the plans and specifications included in this solicitation. The documents govern all technical aspects of the work and must be followed without exception. This project's Scope-of-Work is contained to the warehouse portion of the existing building located at 6124 NW 18 th Drive, Gainesville, FL. The intent of this project is to better consolidate the various county departments storage within the recently purchased "Burkhardt Sales & Service" building. The large eastern portion of the building is a large open air tilt wall construction cooled warehouse area that requires vinyl 12'-0" high devisor partitions with service and access gates. Alachua County Board of County Commissioners are calling for and requesting the submission of ITB 25- 552-LC Alachua County Central Warehouse Fencing. Alachua County is located in North Central Florida. The County government seat is situated in Gainesville. Gainesville is located 70 miles southwest of Jacksonville, 129 miles southeast of Tallahassee, 140 miles northeast of Tampa - St. Petersburg and 109 miles northwest of Orlando. Alachua County has a population of over 250,000 and a regional airport. The County itself consists of a total area of 969 square miles "Cutting-and-patching" is hereby defined to include but is not necessarily limited to the cutting and patching of nominally completed and previously existing work, in order to accommodate the coordination of work, or the installation of other work, or to uncover other work for access or inspection, or to obtain samples for testing, or for similar purposes. It is defined to exclude integral cutting-and-patching during the manufacturing, fabricating, erecting, and installing process for individual units of work. A. Erect barriers around areas of construction to warn all persons of the possible hazards of personal injury when entering such areas. Erect barricades around open holes and work edges or other such items which may, because of location of work areas or type of work, because of injury or harm to any person within construction areas. B. Erect barriers around existing planting areas to protect landscaping plants from damage due to construction operations, storage of materials and abuse by workmen. C. The Contractor shall erect barriers or fences to protect materials stored on-site and to prevent children from playing on stored materials and equipment. D. Erect barriers to contain all dust and materials from escaping the work site. A. Work includes, but is not limited to, cleaning of materials and work of all Specification Sections, removal of trash, debris, and waste materials and preparation of building for occupancy. B. Maintain premises and public properties free from accumulation of waste, debris, and rubbish caused by work operations. C. At completion of Work, remove waste materials, rubbish, tools, equipment, machinery and surplus materials, and clean all sight-exposed surfaces. Leave project and premises clean and ready for occupancy. A. The extent of steel fences and gates as shown on the drawings. B. The types of materials include galvanized steel fencing, swing gates and horizontal sliding gates. C. Refer to the Floor Plan for location of all proposed vinyl covered fabric fence assembly. Question Deadline 10/26/2025 at 12:01 AM ET No interpretation of the bid will be made to any interested bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation shall be made in writing, via the question and answer tab. Any interpretation to a Bidder will be made only by addendum; duly issued, and a copy of such addendum will be posted online Work includes, but is not limited to, cleaning of materials and work of all Specification Sections, removal of trash, debris, and waste materials and preparation of building for occupancy. B. Maintain premises and public properties free from accumulation of waste, debris, and rubbish caused by work operations. C.
