The Board of Education of Avondale School District is accepting firm prime contractor bids for all labor, material, equipment, and all other services to complete the High School PAC Theatre Electrical and Mechanical upgrades. This project falls under Prevailing Wage requirements per Michigan Public Act 10 of 2023. Awarded contractors are required to register with the State of Michigan LEO website yearly and certified payrolls are required. Plans and specifications are available electronically through PreconSuite and for review at the office of AUCH Construction. Use appropriate proposal forms provided by the construction manager. Bids are to be delivered in a sealed envelope, showing company name, project name, and bid proposal category of work, to Avondale School District at 2940 Waukegan St., Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Instructions to bidders include: Only sealed hard copy bids with appropriate forms will be accepted. Each bid must include a sworn and notarized familial affidavit. Bids over $30,512 must include either a certified cashier's check or a U.S. treasury listed security bid bond for 5% of the bid amount; no electronic scans accepted. Proposals must be firm for ninety (90) days. Bids without all required documentation will not be read or considered. Successful bidders with proposals of $50,000 or more must furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of their bid, and this cost must be included in the proposal.
