Site work for a water / sewer project in Dallas, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Installation of approximately 7,850 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch force main with seven (7) air/vacuum release combination valves in precast manholes, 7,400 LF of 10-inch force main with six (6) air/vacuum release combination valves in precast manholes, 1,340 LF of 12.0-inch force main, and 3,160 LF of 15-inch gravity sewer with eleven (11) 5-foot diameter manholes and connection to an existing 4-inch diameter manhole. Rehabilitation of landfill pump station and installation of one new duplex pump station with two 600 gpm pumps. Deadline for questions is 4:00 P.M. on Friday, October 17th, 2025. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents in writing to: John Elms, Project Coordinator, Gaston County john.elms@gastongov.com No bid shall be considered or accepted by Gaston County unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit of cash or certified check on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. In lieu of making the cash deposit, bidder may file a bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds, conditioned that the surety will, upon demand forthwith make payment to the obligee upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. This deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award or fails to give satisfactory surety as required herein.
