Site work for a civil project in Gastonia, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Mailed sealed proposals will be received for the LONG CREEK WWTP WEST AERATION HEADER PIPE REPLACEMENT PROJECT. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina and must include their license number on the bid envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by a Contractors Pre-Qualification Form, and a deposit of cash, certified check, or bid bond in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal. The successful bidder must enter into a written contract and provide a performance bond for the full contract amount. Bidding Documents are available for review and purchase via the designated website. Bids must remain valid for sixty (60) days after opening, and bid security will be retained as required. Each bid must include a letter from the bidder's insurance representative certifying the ability to meet insurance requirements if awarded. The award will go to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, with responsible defined as having the experience, ability, capital, facilities, and licensing to perform the work promptly and completely. The City of Gastonia reserves the right to reject proposals or waive informalities in its best interest. All bids must be properly marked according to the specified instructions.
