Renovation of an educational facility in Monticello, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The new 72,000 square foot Elementary School, being built adjacent and connected to the existing middle School, includes classrooms, gymnasium and locker rooms, kitchen and commons, music rooms, art room, media center, Elementary School administrative offices, and sitework (parking, play area and landscaping). Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310, Bid Bond is required for this project. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. Work is anticipated to commence on November 24, 2025, and be completed not later than February 28, 2027, in a single phase as shown on the Contract Documents. The award of the contract may be made by Monticello Community School District Board of Trustees to any responsible bidder or bidders offering suitable supplies, equipment and/or service at the lowest price taking into consideration the quality of materials or service in the best interest of the Owner. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Last day for questions and substitution requests will be Wednesday, October 15, by 5.00pm.
