Site work for a stadium in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a stadium.
RMWB has been selected to host the 2027 Alberta 55 plus Provincial Games in August 2027, and has also submitted its bid to host the 2028 Alberta Summer Games. To host these two competitions, certain upgrades, replacements, and additions to existing assets are required: Syncrude Athletic Park, Corless Field, and Timberlea Community Park. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals from consultants for design and engineering services has been awarded. A total of three tenders are expected to ensue in 2026; the first tender may be issued in January.
