The County of Volusia, Department of Public Works, Road & Bridge Division, is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for open channel debris and sediment removal and bank stabilization for damages caused by Hurricane Milton. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, applicable permitting, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications provided within the solicitation. The contractor shall provide a complete job, including all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials, and perform all operations necessary as specified within the solicitation. Scope of Work The County of Volusia, Department of Public Works, Road & Bridge Division, is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for open channel debris and sediment removal and bank stabilization for damages caused by Hurricane Milton. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, applicable permitting, and incidentals necessary to complete all work required by the specifications provided within the solicitation. The contractor shall provide a complete job, including all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials, and perform all operations necessary as specified within the solicitation. Through a cooperative agreement for Emergency Watershed Protection Project # NR254209XXXXC008 for damages caused by Hurricane Milton, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) is providing to Volusia County the funding for this project. The project consists of implementing recovery measures on NRCS eligible work areasinvolving Mosquito Control open channels A-10 in Ormond Beach, B-19 in Port Orange, C-36 in New Smyrna Beach, and box culvert bridge #794072 on N. Tymber Creek Road in Ormond Beach. The work includes performing waterway removal of fallen trees and other debris blockages, and bank stabilization to prevent flooding as provided below: o Open Channel A-10 in Ormond Beach (Groover Branch Canal - South of Linville Road and lateral to N. Tymber Creek Road): Debris removal and bank stabilization - remove debris and construct approximately 900 LF of riprap for erosion control and Bridge #794072 on N. Tymber Creek Road in Ormond Beach (North of Airport Road): Remove approximately 300 CY of sediment from box culvertOpen Channel B-19 in Port Orange (Sweetwater Creek - North of Dunlawton Avenue and West of Clyde Morris Boulevard): Bank Stabilization East Side - removal of existing concrete pillow forms and construct approximately 250 LF of riprap for erosion control o Open Channel C-36 in New Smyrna Beach (Samsula Canal between SR-44 and Pioneer Trail): Debris removal - remove debris from approximately 2.75 miles The County of Volusia, Road & Bridge Division is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the construction of Open Channel Debris and Sediment Removal and Bank Stabilization Related to Damages Caused by Hurricane Milton located at Open Channel A-10 in Ormond Beach, B-19 in Port Orange, & C-36 in New Smyrna Beach and Bridge #794072 on Tymber Creek Rd in Ormond Beach . The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings.
