The intent of this Invitation to Apply for Prequalification (IPQ) process (Procurement) is for the City of Alexandria Sanitation Authority, d/b/a as AlexRenew to identify qualified Contractors with successful experience in the construction of projects similar to the Low Pressure Steam System Improvements Project. This Prequalification is for Contractors only. Prequalification Applications will NOT be accepted from subcontractors. The scope for the LPS Improvements includes, but is not limited to: Building A: Replace one boiler (6,900 lb/hour capacity) and boiler feed unit, replace and relocate blowdown tank and chemical feed system, and provide new draining piping; Gallery 8: Replace and modify condensate return transfer (CRT) system and replace chemical feed system; Building 28: Replace boiler feed system and chemical feed system; and Facility-wide: Replace approximately 2,000-feet of LPS, CRT gravity, and pressure piping and associated accessories such as valves, fittings, condensate return units, and steam traps and demolish selected deactivated assets Question Deadline 10/21/2025 at 2:00 PM ET Last Date to Submit Questions Regarding IPQ All questions and requests for clarification regarding this solicitation shall be submitted to AlexRenew's POC via email only. The estimated construction cost for the LPS System Improvements project is $7,000,000 and scheduled to be completed by the 2nd quarter of calendar year 2027. Notice to Proceed for construction is anticipated in February 2026.
