Egremont Elementary School Boiler Replacement. Plans and specifications are available at the City Hall Purchasing Office. There is a $20 mailing fee for a hard copy of the bid package. Contractor qualification is required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, and Highway Division contracts over $50,000 Question Deadline 10/08/2025 Questions concerning this IFB should be directed to the City ofPittsfield Purchasing Agent up to five (5) business days before the time and date ofthe bid opening. The clock in the Purchasing Office shall be the sole determining factor oftime. If, at the time ofthe scheduled bid opening, City Hall is closed due to uncontrolled events such as fire, snow, ice, or building evacuation, the bid opening will be postponed . on the next normal business day. Bids will be accepted until that date and time. Construction Work under this contract shall be conducted in one phase starting during the fall/winter of 2025-2026 and completed by January 2026. Provide submittals and other necessary materials for review as soon as practicable after the signing of contracts such that work can proceed in a timely manner. Include any and all cold weather protection required to complete the project. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required for the Replacement of Boiler #1 at Egremont Elementary School, 84 Egremont Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, as called out in the contract documents, plans, and specifications, as prepared by Barry Architects, Inc. dated August 23, 2025. Contractor shall note that boiler #2 was replaced under a prior contract. Work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Removal of existing Boiler and accessories as specified herein and indicated on the contract documents. 2. Furnishing and installation of new boiler and boiler controls as specified herein and indicated on the contract documents. 3. Coordination with the City of Pittsfield to ensure the safety of the staff, students and public. The School will remain in operation during the work and contractor shall maintain the operation of the other boiler as required to maintain heat in the school during the work.
