Full Depth Bituminous Reclamation, and Bituminous Paving. The County of Wabasha, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Regulations hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively assure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to participate and/or to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Minimum wage rates to be paid by the Contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581 and implementing regulations. Contractors must carefully read the wage scales and Division A of the Special Provisions as they affect these projects. Affirmative action requirements must be met by contractors, and a compliance certificate from the Minnesota Department of Human Rights is necessary for those employing more than 40 full-time employees. Failure to implement an affirmative action plan or make a good faith effort shall result in revocation of the certificate or contract. Bids will be opened and read out loud at the bid closing date and time at the place of bid submission. If awarded, contract will be awarded within 33 days of the bid opening date at a Wabasha County Board meeting at the Board meeting room.
