Site work for a water / sewer project in Manhattan, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Sealed proposals are requested for FRONT STREET WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the bidder's name, address, and project name on the outside. Submission must be on forms provided by the Engineer. Bid Documents, including specifications, are available electronically from the Engineer upon review of prequalification information. A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount is required with each proposal. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. The contractor is required to comply with prevailing wage rates as established by the United States Department of Labor and all applicable regulations. The mayor and Village Board reserve the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, postpone the bid opening, or advertise for new proposals if necessary. Pre-qualification requirements: Prequalification must be submitted to the Engineer by all potential bidders. The Engineer and the Mayor and Village Board will determine if an applicant is eligible to receive bid documents based on the best interest of the Village.
