Site work for a water / sewer project in Rochelle, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Sealed bids will be received for storm sewer improvements consisting of installation of approximately 1400 feet of 36-inch storm sewer, 125 feet of 12-inch storm sewer, saw cutting, removal and replacement of existing sidewalk, accessibility ramps, combination curb and gutter, pavement removal, aggregate base course, HMA pavement, riprap, necessary or required excavation, granular backfill or bedding as required by the Engineer, grading, backfilling and landscaping necessary to restore and leave the site in a neat and orderly condition, and other associated work in the specified area. Bidders must obtain and sign for specifications/plans, may pick them up at no cost or pay a fee for mailed copies, and must return sealed bids by the specified deadline. Objections or questions on specifications must be submitted in writing by the set deadline. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified cashier's check, and a Hold Harmless Agreement and Non-Collusion Affidavit of Compliance must be submitted. A performance surety will be required as specified. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities or irregularities, and make the award to the lowest responsible bidder in the City's best interest. All contracts are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The City does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in its programs or activities.
