The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) is seeking design services for a new connector roadway extending from the intersection of Hurst Drive and Hamilton Drive to Riegel Road. The proposed roadway will provide a vital exterior circulation route around existing athletic facilities, aiming to alleviate interior campus traffic congestion and improve pedestrian safety for students. The project will also include parking along the proposed roadway. The University seeks the professional service of a designer to join the team to provide services for the project through design, construction, and post acceptance. Design services shall be provided as defined by the latest State Construction Office manual, guidelines and checklists. The designer must exhibit the basic qualifications outlined in the State Construction Office Manual (SCO Manual). Critical Selection Factors Response should be electronically submitted in PDF format, a maximum of 20 letter-size pages excluding the cover page, letter of interest, table of contents, and SF-330 form. Other factors which may be appropriate to the project. The contract will be negotiated with the selected designer. The contract with the designer will be in the form of a Letter Agreement approved by the State Construction Office. Following the receipt of proposals, a University Interview Committee will shortlist 3-6 firms, interview, and present to BOT.
