Site work for a water / sewer project in Cartersville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The project consists of the replacement of a 6-inch PVC water line with approximately 3,200 linear feet of 6-inch DIP water line along Skyview Drive and Carolyn Court, and installation of 240 linear feet of 2" Municipex water line at Carolyn Court to provide water service and fire flow to the Skyview residential area. The existing water system will remain operational until installation and testing of the new waterline system is completed and approved. Two cut-in connections on the existing 6" DIP main are required. Most of the waterline trenching is outside of improved surface areas. The total disturbed area is estimated to be approximately 0.25 acres. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as specified. Bidders must be listed on the Engineer's list of planholders who have purchased the Contract Documents, Specifications, and Drawings. Bidders must be on the Approved Contractor's List for the Bartow County Water Department or qualify to be added to the list prior to construction. A Bid Bond of 5% of the total project cost is required. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Contract as per the forms attached to the Contract. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-10 or greater, be listed in the appropriate Federal Registries, and be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and Secretary of State. Contractor must have minimum Worker's Comp and General Liability Insurance. Proposals must include evidence of a valid Georgia State Contractor's License. All contractors and subcontractors must register for a federal work authorization. A current Business License and/or Occupational Tax Certificate is also required.
