Levy Engineering Center University of Wisconsin-Madison Madison, Wisconsin In general, the work consists of: This project constructs a new and expanded replacement academic and research facility for the College of Engineering (COE) to provide flexible and modern engineering space; allow the expansion of enrollment, degrees, and program offerings; and begin recovery of the competitive edge lost due to the current condition, inadequacies, and functionality of the existing facilities. It is anticipated that the new facility will be eight floors total plus a mechanical penthouse (seven floors above grade and one floor below grade) and provide modern classrooms and instructional laboratories, research laboratories, shared collaboration and support spaces, and offices. The new space is projected to accommodate the strategic growth of undergraduate engineering students, graduate engineering students, and faculty.
