Sealed bids for the construction of a walking trail and lighting project for the Town of Georgetown, Mississippi will be received at the designated address until the specified time and date. Electronic bids are also accepted and must include a copy of the Certificate of Responsibility. All bids must be clearly marked with the project name and bidder information. Each bidder must provide their Certificate of Responsibility and Mississippi License number on the bid envelope. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi law and present a current Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors, showing classification for the value and work type authorized. Each bid must include a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond equal to five percent of the bid amount as security. The successful bidder must execute Performance and Payment Bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract amount, from a surety licensed in Mississippi. Bidders may be asked for a current financial statement. Attorneys-in-fact signing Payment Bonds must provide a certified and dated Power of Attorney.
