As of December 9, 2025, project is awarded to APAC Mississippi, Inc., but no amount available. The work consists essentially of overlaying Rice Road from the city limits of Madison to Hoy Road, along with all other related items of work required to complete the project as shown and specified in the contract documents. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings referenced. Work is to be performed in accordance with the “Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017,” together with all amendments, special provisions, and addenda unless otherwise noted. Bidders are instructed that each bid must be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check, or bidder’s bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Madison, as bid security. Bidders must submit a current financial statement if requested. The successful bidder is required to provide a performance bond and a payment bond each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The proposal and contract documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope or electronically by the specified deadline. No stripped bids are accepted. Disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises are encouraged to participate and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, sex, age, disability, religion, or national origin.
