**As of November 13, 2025, the project was awarded to Elcon Services Inc, with an awarded amount of $480,601.25.** The major items of work include: 3200 lf of 2" schedule 40 pvc pipe, control box, 5000 lf of 277v light circuit wiring, 8000 lf of 120v outlet circuit, 24 each 12' light pole, 12 each 18' light pole, with optional banner arms and flag holders and other appurtenances. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with instructions to bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60-days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. Description: Work consists of Downtown Lighting Improvements and includes: 1. New light poles, conduit with wire and controller box for Walnut Ave (Division to 1st)in downtown Peabody. C. Contractor shall minimize environmental impacts of construction under these Contract Documents by:(i) providing standard erosion & sediment control measures, including (but not limited to) silt screening & barriers, hay bale check dams at discharge points, covering or mulching disturbed areas with prairie hay, and maintaining riparian buffer strips; (ii) properly storing construction materials; and (iii) properly disposing of construction materials & debris.
