The Town and County of Nantucket, through its Department of Public Works, invites qualified responders to submit bids for Tom Nevers Solid Waste Removal. The Town of Nantucket, herein called the Owner, invites qualified responders to submit bids for the Tom Nevers Solid Waste Removal Project. The work under this contract includes all activities required for the removal of surface and subsurface solid waste debris at Tom Nevers Field (Site) as shown on the Contract Drawings. The scope encompasses all labor, equipment, materials, and operations necessary for solid waste removal, including utility disconnection, backfilling and site restoration, and securing all required licenses, permits, and certificates. Additional scope items and details on the work to be performed are provided in the contract documents. The Town of Nantucket, through its Department of Public Works, invites qualified responders to submit bids for Tom Nevers Solid Waste Removal project on Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554, in accordance with Contract Documents prepared by Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30 39M inclusive and as amended to date. Question Submission Deadline: October 22, 2025, 2:00pm. Questions concerning this IFB must be submitted via electronically. Written responses will be posted online in the form of Addenda if necessary and emailed to all bidders who may follow the IFB. If any changes are made to this IFB, an addendum will be issued. Addenda notification will be emailed to all bidders who may follow the bid posting by online. Each responder shall acknowledge receipt of any and all addendum issued via online. Question Response Deadline: October 28, 2025, 4:00pm The Town of Nantucket is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. The Town encourages bids from qualified MBE/DBE/WBE firms. Award date. The Town intends to award a contract within thirty (30) calendar days after bid opening unless otherwise stated in the specifications or the time for award is extended by mutual consent of all parties. All bids submitted shall be valid for a minimum period of sixty (60) calendar days following the date established for acceptance. After the bid opening, a bidder may not change any provision of the bid in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the Town of Nantucket or fair competition. In accordance with Section 5 of Chapter 30B of the General Laws, minor informalities may be waived, or the bidder may be allowed to correct them. If a mistake and the intended bid are clearly evident on the face of the bid document, the mistake may be corrected to reflect the intended bid, and the bidder will be notified in writing; the bidder may not withdraw the bid. In accordance with M.G.L. c. 30B Section 5, a bidder may withdraw a bid if a mistake is clearly evident on the face of the bid, but the intended correct bid is not similarly evident. The Town of Nantucket reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interest. Bidders must submit a bid deposit of five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid. Bid deposit may be in the form of a certified check; a bank, treasurers or cashier's check; or a bid bond from a surety company. Original bid deposits MUST be received by the Town of Nantucket, Procurement Office, 37 Washington Street, Nantucket, MA 02554 within five (5) business days of the bid opening. Please include Bid No. 2025-PR-0910 on the envelope. Bid deposits of responders not awarded the contract will be returned. W-9 The Successful Bidder must furnish a Payment Bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price with a surety company acceptable to the Town of Nantucket. The Successful Bidder must furnish a Performance Bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price with a surety company acceptable to the Town of Nantucket.
