Terminal Reservoir Gearbox Replacement Basin 3 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project consists of removal and disposal of one (1) submerged 60-inch AWWA butterfly inlet valve gearbox, one (1) submerged 36-inch AWWA butterfly suction valve gearbox, and one (1) submerged 48-inch AWWA butterfly outlet valve gearbox in Basin 3 of the Terminal Reservoir. The work will also include the purchase and installation of one (1) new 60-inch AWWA butterfly valve gearbox, one (1) 36-inch AWWA butterfly valve gearbox, and one (1) 48-inch AWWA butterfly valve gearbox, all of which shall be rated for submersion. Depending on the size and configuration of the new gear boxes, they may need to be installed with a universal joint that allows for installation at a slight angle or using an adapter to maintain use the existing roof penetration to ensure proper operation and facilitate future maintenance. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work shall be completed within 250 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The project shall be substantially completed and placed into service no later than May 31, 2026. If the work is not completed within the specified time frame, the bidder herein agrees to accept liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day. Work shall be sequenced and scheduled as listed Section 01010 - Summary of Work. AWARD OF CONTRACT: An Award of Contract, if it were awarded, will be made within 60 calendar days of the opening of bids. NOTICE TO PROCEED: A Notice to Proceed, if it were issued, will be made within 60 calendar days of the Notice of Award. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, money order or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price payable to the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, provide evidence of worker's compensation insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price.
