Site work and paving for a road / highway in Rome, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project will modify approaches and potentially alter the circular pavement of the roundabout at Ellsworth Rd. to current design specifications to reduce vehicle approach speeds. Improvements will be on Rt. 825 from Ellsworth Rd. to Rt. 49 Interchange. NYSDOT Region: 02 MOHAWK VALLEY The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Winter 2027/2028. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2028. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2028/2029. As of October 04, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2027/2028. NYDOT : Rt. 825: Rt. 49 to Geiger Rd./Ellsworth Roundabout, City of Rome, Oneida County *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
